PSE sneak attack.

What does PUD Commissioner have to do with trans?

I’ve come under attack by a small group of gender ideologues within the Thurston Democratic Party. They decided to try and get my Thurston Democratic Party endorsement rescinded. Amazingly they got an emergency TCD meeting called for July 6th about it. Of all the things to call an emergency meeting about this one seems utterly ridiculous. Which makes me believe that this is actually a sneak attack really coming from PSE.

I have a target on my back because I fight the foreign owned private monopoly electric company. I want to advocate against higher electric rate increases. If I’m successful in raising the voice of the people, that could cost them millions. It’s cheaper and easier for them to get rid of me early in the primaries. It’s a nonpartisan race, so I’ve spoken at Republican and Democrat events and would accept both their endorsements, because endorsements can be meaningful.

I’m running for PUD Commissioner, which has nothing to do with gender ideology whatsoever. Before now, I hadn’t thought I’d say anything on this matter because my campaign has nothing to do with this subject. I care about a great many issues, this being one of them, but it hasn’t been much of a priority. Outside of caring locally about public utilities, I tend to focus on international issues and standing against the looming world war the US is wading into. However, due to the attacks against me, I’ve decided to speak up.

About four years ago I read up on the science on this matter as reported in the Cass Review put out by the NHS. This was the most comprehensive review of scientific studies ever done on the subject of “gender affirming care” and it concludes that “gender affirming care” has negative and harmful impacts on children. Because of this the NHS has stopped supporting “gender affirming care”.

Washington state has been ignoring the science and is following gender ideology instead. This is harming children and especially girls.

There is a vocal minority of gender ideologues who have become vehement single issue voters on this matter and act as unwanted gatekeepers within the Democratic Party and other progressive groups whether the group has much of anything to do with this subject or not. This has been tremendously detrimental, especially because they are wrong and unwilling to listen to what the science says on the matter.

I don’t hate. Or I try not to. Especially groups of people. I don’t hate people for the color of their skin, their country, their religion, their sex or their sexual orientation. I never have and never will. I am devout in my belief that we must humanize each other, especially those who are deemed enemies.

Love thy neighbor. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I’ve known a great many people who feel differently on this matter than myself. I know many who take on gender identities that are different than their sex. I see these people as no less than anyone else and have know many as dear friends over the decades. Those who can’t understand how this can be true when I disagree with them on gender ideology need to recognize, as I do, that this disagreement is one where hate plays no part. It truly doesn’t matter in terms of seeing someone’s humanity and caring for their wellbeing.

Below is a link for likeminded Democrats. I joined. I feel like this represents the majority of people.
